Substance Abuse Testing

Drug abusing employees are a serious threat to themselves, their co-workers, and the stability and profitability of any business. At I & O Medical Centers, we believe that the surest way to prevent drug and alcohol abuse on the job is to establish a zero-tolerance policy, supported by regular professional substance abuse testing.

Substance Abuse Testing:

  • DOT & Non DOT
  • Breath Alcohol
  • Saliva-Swab Test
  • Consortium Services
  • Random Programs
  • MRO Services
  • All Certified Collectors

“When you introduce drug testing, you are taking a stance that has implications for the whole workplace environment,” explains I & O CEO Dr. Michael Baddar. “Our approach to substance abuse testing is not about catching people so much as it is about compelling the group to engage in healthy behaviors.”

For companies that already have an established drug testing program, I & O Medical Center is the ideal partner to support that program. I & O’s certified drug screening experts can conduct random, reasonable cause, or pre-placement testing and even offer it on-site or after hours to ensure worker compliance. For companies that don’t currently have a testing program in place, I&O can assist them in crafting and implementing a Drug-Free Workplace Policy.

I & O Medical Centers offer the most thorough and sophisticated substance abuse testing options available, for both DOT and non-DOT evaluation. These include Urine Drug Screening (UDS), Hair Testing, Rapid Tests (with instant results), Saliva Swab Testing and Breath and Blood Alcohol Testing. These can be conducted randomly as well as prior to placement, after an accident, in cases where drug use is suspected, or before an employee returns to duty. Tests are typically 5-panel or 10-panel, but customized panels are also available.

Dr. Baddar has been a Medical Review Officer (MRO) since 1980 when drug testing was first introduced as part of pre-placement testing. For employers who have a TPA to conduct their screening, I & O can function as the collector only.
